2019 Costume/Band Launch for Toronto Caribbean Carnival

Atlantic Mas proudly presents their 2019 Costume/Band Launch for Toronto Caribbean Carnival. Join us on Saturday, May 25th  From 2pm-8pm with Special Guest Live From Trinidad: Machel Montano and Bunji Garlin inside Rebel Nightclub (11 Polson Street). Atlantic Mas’ theme The Rebellion. This year they will be showcasing 6 vibrant sections with their amazing models. These sections are: Uprise/Revolt/Anarchy/Revolution/Resistance & Ignite. Each section will be a representation of an awakening of our community towards making positive change.

Not only will Atlantic Mas showcase their costumes they will also have a concert with the King of Soca Machel Montano and Bunji Garlin in attendance with Toronto’s biggest Dj’s to get the crowd pumpin.

Bandleader Akil Heywood, assembled a powerhouse support team of young professionals including management consultants, fashion designers, travel agents, HR specialists, entertainers, construction workers, visual artists, event promoters and city youth outreach workers. In bringing diverse skill sets together, Mr. Heywood seeks to engage youth leadership. In doing so, we ensure continued celebration of Caribbean culture and beauty absent of stigmatization. Not only is Atlantic Mas a collaborative of role models, at their core they are committed to showing Toronto what diverse young people are capable of when they mobilize toward positive goals. Teaching that even in the workforce, when they embrace what they love, opportunity is created.
