Roots: A Black History Month Exhibition
This exhibition will explore themes of Blackness in different parts of the world, but particularly in Canada and specifically with the postsecondary student in mind. This exhibition will explore the concepts of reconnecting to ancestral history, the idea of cultural identity as well as the revival and revision of traditions.
“ROOTS” urges Black artists and designers to reflect and explore the different layers of their identities today and how these connect to the past.
We will start gathering in the Lobby of 100 McCaul at 6:00 p.m and the reception will start at 6:30 p.m.
Come on out as OCADU BSA kickstarts Black History Month with the celebration of ROOTS and official introduction of Bonaventure Ndikung into the OCAD U community.
Consume and discuss the artwork; vibe with us, the performers, artists and guests until about 10 p.m.
