Get ready, Toronto! From August 6 -9, 2025, we bring you our one-of-a-kind immersive professional development program for Black dancers working African American dance forms. Deepen your understanding of the African musical and movement roots of hip hop, jazz, house, krump, and more while expanding your improvisational and choreographic skills with some of the world’s leading artists.
Upgrade your music, movement, and choreographic skills with international faculty members Tyedric Hill, Kobèna Aquaa-Harrison, Nubian Néné, Dr. ‘Funmi Adewole, Brinae Ali, Mark “Brui5er” Sheats, and Marquisa “Miss Prissy” Gardner!
With visionary performances by the faculty members and Vladimir “7Starr” Laurore, Natasha Powell, Raoul Wilke, Athena Lucie Assamba, Jamari “Rhino” Whittaker, Lisa La Touche, Bénédicte Nkanyi Ndela & Aichatou Erna Labarang, and Travis Knights.
The full subsidized festival pass provides access to 15 professional development, performance, and celebration events for $150 or $10 per event.
