Moonlight Schooner is a compelling new stage play by Toronto-based playwright and performer Kanika Ambrose, produced by Necessary Angel Theatre Company in association with Canadian Stage and Tarragon Theatre. Set in May Day 1958 on the island of St. Kitts, the story follows a small group of Black sailors stranded after a violent storm, navigating colonial pressures, his- and inter-generational trauma, and the search for belonging. The world premiere runs from Friday, November 21 to Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the Berkeley Street Theatre (26 Berkeley Street, Toronto).
