Experience a realm of ritual, reflection, and raw physical language as the internationally acclaimed South African choreographer-performer Vincent Sekwati Koko Mantsoe makes his Toronto debut with his evocative solo work IZILO, taking the stage at Meridian Arts Centre on November 14 & 15, 2025. Drawing on his heritage as a Sangoma and his signature blend of contemporary dance with ancestral ritual, Mantsoe journeys through the turbulence of modern human existence toward a deep ethos of connection—“I am because you are.” Lace into this rarely seen performance and allow the choreography’s raw energy and spiritual undercurrents to stir your perspective on body, memory and community.
