Get ready for another unforgettable summer celebration of African culture, music, and community spirit. Afrofest 2025, Canada’s largest free African music festival, returns to Toronto’s Woodbine Park on July 5 and 6. This much-anticipated event brings together tens of thousands of people for a weekend of live performances, food, crafts, and cultural pride—all rooted in the rich traditions of the African continent and its global diasporas. July 4–6, 2025 | Woodbine Park, Toronto.

Since its inception over three decades ago, Afrofest has grown into a powerful platform that unites communities and showcases the incredible diversity of African music, dance, food, and art. As a flagship summer event for Black culture in the city, it brings together local and international talent to highlight the beauty and brilliance of the African experience.

Whether you're swaying to Afrobeats, feeling the drum of traditional rhythms, or exploring the vibrant artisan market, Afrofest offers an immersive cultural experience that reflects the spirit of Toronto's Afro-diasporic community.

Family & Kids Zone
Bring the whole family! The dedicated kids' area includes storytelling, face painting, drumming workshops, and crafts. It’s a fun and safe space for young ones to connect with African culture through play and creativity.

Dance, Fashion & Culture
Don’t miss the chance to participate in community dance circles, cultural workshops, and fashion showcases celebrating the bold, colourful styles from across the continent.

A celebration rooted in community

Organized by Music Africa, Afrofest is more than a music festival—it’s a movement that nurtures Black excellence, fosters cultural education, and creates space for Black joy. It’s where new immigrants meet long-time Torontonians, where African traditions meet modern creativity, and where we come together to celebrate identity, resistance, and belonging.

This year, as AfroToronto.com celebrates two decades of uplifting Black voices and culture (we had our first public booth at Afrofest 2005!), we’re proud to spotlight Afrofest 2025 as a cornerstone event that continues to empower our communities and tell our stories through the universal language of music and culture.
