Canada’s Queen of R&B is bringing hope, joy, and powerhouse vocals to 13 cities. The Jully Black Live Experience marks Black History Month and Women’s History Month with purpose and pride.

When Jully Black steps onto a stage, she carries nearly three decades of Canadian music history with her. This February and March, the JUNO Award-winning artist launches the 13-city Jully Black Live Experience, a national tour designed to honour Black History Month and Women’s History Month while reconnecting audiences with the power of live R&B.

For Black Canadians who grew up with her voice on the radio, and for a new generation discovering her catalogue, this tour feels like a homecoming. It is also a statement. Jully Black remains one of the most decorated and respected vocalists in the country, a Canadian Walk of Fame inductee and one of “The 25 Greatest Canadian Singers Ever.” In 2026, she adds another milestone with a JUNO nomination for her collaboration with TOBi and Saukrates on “Who’s Driving You,” nearly 30 years after her first JUNO nomination and win for “What It Takes” with Choclair.

A tour rooted in purpose

The timing of the tour is intentional. As a proud Black Canadian woman, Jully has aligned this cross-country run with a two-month commitment to history, resilience, and recognition.

“The world feels heavy right now,” she shares. “People are tired. My specialty is hope, joy, faith, and connection. These shows are experiences.”

That distinction matters. Audiences can expect more than a setlist of hits. The Jully Black Live Experience blends music, storytelling, laughter, and real talk. It invites Canadians to celebrate homegrown talent and invest directly in independent artistry.

This is an independent tour. No major machine. No shortcuts. Jully is bringing a full live band and background singers across the country because, as she puts it plainly, “Live music heals. Period.” When fans buy a ticket, they are supporting Canadian culture at its roots.

From global stages to intimate rooms

Jully Black has performed alongside global icons including Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Elton John, Celine Dion, and Jesse Reyez. She has written for and collaborated with heavyweights such as Nas, Destiny's Child, Sean Paul, and Ian Thornley of Big Wreck.

Yet this tour leans into intimacy. Smaller rooms. Closer connections. Bigger emotional impact.

For many AfroToronto readers, this resonates deeply. Independent Black artists in Canada often build careers through grit, community support, and faith in their craft. Jully’s journey reflects that path. She is also an actress, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and fitness leader whose philanthropic work has taken her from Bangladesh to South Africa and across Canada and the United States.

Now, she is taking that global experience back home.

13 cities. One shared energy.

The Jully Black Live Experience kicks off February 11 in Burlington, makes its Toronto stop on February 18 at the Mod Club, and wraps March 13 in Regina. Along the way, she performs in Oshawa, London, Waterloo, Ottawa, Vancouver, Victoria, Yellowknife, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Calgary, and more.

Support acts on select dates include Raquel Ra Brown, Melafrique, Caleb Hart, and Warren Dean Flandez, adding even more depth to a tour rooted in collaboration and cultural celebration.

“Dreams do not expire”

One of the most powerful messages embedded in this tour is longevity.

“If a woman can be nominated 30 years apart, still touring, still believing,” Jully says, “then nobody in Canada has permission to quit on themselves.”

That sentiment lands strongly in 2026. In an industry where women, especially Black women, often face structural barriers and short timelines, Jully Black’s career stands as proof that consistency, excellence, and faith can outlast trends.

Her call to action is simple: celebrate Black History Month. Celebrate Women’s History Month. Celebrate resilience. Celebrate Canada. And show up.

A full-circle chapter in Canadian R&B history

For Toronto’s Black community and the broader diaspora across Canada, this tour feels personal. Jully Black has long been part of our cultural soundtrack. Her voice has echoed through award shows, national anthems, radio playlists, and community gatherings.

Seeing her take an independent, coast-to-coast tour during months dedicated to Black and women’s histories reinforces a powerful truth. Representation on stage shapes what feels possible off stage. It reminds young artists that Canadian R&B has its own icons. It reminds audiences that supporting homegrown talent strengthens the entire ecosystem.

As AfroToronto continues to spotlight Black excellence across arts and culture, this tour aligns with the spirit that has guided us since 2005: invest in our stories. Amplify our voices. Show up for our own.

The Jully Black Live Experience is an invitation. To reconnect. To celebrate. To believe again in the power of music to heal and unite.

Tickets are available now. Be in the room.
