South African cellist Abel Selaocoe

Epic Wagner: legends & lore runs May 14 to 16, 2026, at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto. The Toronto Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Gustavo Gimeno, is joined by South African cellist Abel Selaocoe for the North American premiere of Jessie Montgomery's new Cello Concerto. The program rounds out with Wagner's overture to The Flying Dutchman and a suite from Götterdämmerung.
